I’m looking to set up a small 15-gallon tank, so the smaller the fish, the better.

Woof! the keeper to the rescue…
Fun aside, you gotta get yourself some Honey Gourami, White Cloud Mountain Minnows (get a whole squad of them), Guppies, Tetras, Platies, and Dwarf Pencilfish (just keep them away from the Neon Tetras). Don’t put all these together, pick and choose what you like and what you’re going for. I myself am quite a guppy and platy guy. Make sure to throw in some plants and driftwood for them to play in, and you’ve got yourself a party!
Just remember, no more than 15 of these little dudes, or it’ll be like a clown car in there. Trust me, you want them to have enough space to do their thing without getting all up in each other’s gills. Hope this helps 🙂
Maybe some shrimp as well.
I’ll add tiger fish, some kind of tiny barb, and nerite snails.
Tiny barb? u mean dwarf barb?
Right, also, cherry, checkered barbs
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions????
A whole group of tetras and some shrimp would be great. You could also get some corydoras catfish as bottom feeders and maybe get some snails as cleaners! I have a 15 gallon and have a girl betta, 2 corydoras, and a small pleco.
